New "Blues For Jimi" DVD and Blue-ray of one of the finest rock-blues guitarists of all time Gary Moore, (R.I.P.) playing tribute to Jimi Hendrix has been announced to be released in September 25 by Eagle Rock Entertainment.New album contains videos of Gary Moore playing Jimi Hendrix classic songs, such as “Purple Haze,” “Foxy Lady,” “The Wind Cries Mary,” “Hey Joe,” and “Voodoo Child” among others, filmed at the London Hippodrome on October 25, 2007.
Musicians apperaing on the stage are: Gary Moore (guitar, vocals); Dave Bronze (bass); Darrin Mooney (drums) with Billy Cox (bass+vocals on tracks 9-11) and Mitch Mitchell (drums on tracks 9-11).
This is so sad that Gary Moore and Mitch Mitchell have passed away since that time.
Gary is one of the very few players who could pay tribute to Jimi Hendrix with such truly distinctive guitar style.
