45 years ago, Pink Floyd set up a stage inside the ancient Roman amphitheatre of Pompeii, Italy and performed songs from their 1971 album Meddle. legendary concert was filmed uner title "Live in Pompeii", directed by Adrian Maben.
On Thursday and Friday, July 07-08, 2016 David Gilmour returned to Pompeii for two spectacular shows and thousands of fans could watch impressive set including a rare performance of “The Great Gig in the Sky” and “One of These Days”, which was performed by Pink Floyd during their first visit in Pompeii. Gilmour and his band performed also other songs from throughout David's career with Pink Floyd, six songs from ‘Rattle that Lock’, as well as two from 2006’s ‘On An Island’.
Both shows were filmed in 4k by director Gavin Elder and will be available on 2-CD, Blu-ray, 2-DVD or deluxe Blu-ray box on 29 September 2017. It's already available to preorder in digital stores like Amazon, iTune and Spotify.
