Biréli Lagrène shows his incredible skills playing jazz standard "Sweet Georgia Brown" composed by Maceo Pinkarda in 1925. Of course this is in gypsy jazz style, also called "jazz manouche", though Biréli can play almost everything, from gypsy musci to modern jazz and pop. During his long career Lagrène toured with Al Di Meola, Paco de Lucía, John McLaughlin, Larry Coryell and Philip Catherine, played with Benny Carter, Benny Goodman, and Stéphane Grappellii. He also performed with such jazz legends as Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, the Gil Evans Orchestra, Christian Escoudé, and Charlie Haden. He even performed in duo with one of the most innovative jazz guitarists, Stanley Jordan.
