Classic jazz standard All The Things You Are was composed in 1939 by Jerome Kern, with lyricis written Oscar Hammerstein II. It originally appeared as a musical theatre song,but since been covered by everyone from Thelonious Monk to Michael Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald to Brad Mehldau, now is considered an essential part of the modern day jazz musician’s repertoire.

Linka moved to Boston in 1985 and attended the Berklee College of Music, where he studied at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music with John Abercrombie, Dave Liebman, and Arnie Lawrence. He also studied privately with guitarists Jim Hall and John Scofield.
