On 27 of November, we celebrated 70th Birthday of Jimi Hendrix. This is one of his most popular hit songs "Hey Joe" performed live on Monday morning Augist 18, 1969 at the Woodstock, N.Y., Music Festival.
Many Hendrix fans do not know that "Hey Joe" was not written by Joe. "Hey Joe" was registered for copyright in the U.S. in 1962 by William Moses "Billy" Roberts Jr., American songwriter and musician. He copyrighted :Hey Joe" in 1962 but never released. In fact Billy Roberts issued only one album in 1975. Before Hendrix several artists covered this song, including Los Angeles band The Leaves, Arthur Lee's group Love and The Byrds with a singer David Crosby.

Can you imagine being inside of those crowds back in 1969? I mean check out that man's expression behind Jimi when he was doing that ending solo, with eyes closed. Man had hard time processing what he just witnessed, and I'd have the same expression if I was there too.

Love the side view and him signaling the band. The fans on stage look comatose. Hey Joe was the encore.

The words and sound changed my life .since we could afford a record player and then cassette player and then to see on tv .I mean my friends and I started a band at 17 me playing drums because the drummer inspired me and the bass player in unison fantastic just to hear the words and sound meant alot that anyone could imagine because in reality. Jimi Hendrix expressed what most of all we express today in saying in the words of And the wind cries Mary.Think about it ok take care ciao. Garth.

Totally wasted his life … Reaped what he sowed in the lives of those young people! He was a traitor to the USA . It showed in his playing a mockery of the Star Spangled Banner! He & Janus died of heroin +++ over dose the following year, not, age 27! Such wasted deviate lives!
