Mallorca

by Isaac Albéniz

Free Sheet Music for Guitar

Arranged for guitar by Eythor Thorlaksson
Although Albéniz did not write a single piece for the guitar, a great number of his works, originally composed for the piano, they were transcribed by guitarists almost immediately after they were written, and they have remained an important part of the classical guitar repertoire ever since. Same was with Mallorca, Op 202, most probably composed by Albéniz in London, after his second trip to Mallorca in May 1890. Generally played in the key of D minor, Mallorca was recorded by most of prominent classical guitarists, including such names as John Williams, Andres Segovia, Julian Bream or David Russell.
