Famous Canon in D credited to German Baroque composer Johann Pachelbel was possibly written between 1680 and 1706. Once recorded by by the Jean-François Paillard chamber orchestra in 1968, Canon began to be recorded by many ensembles, used in classical and pop music, arranged for multiple solo instruments. For classical guitar we have solo arrangements, for two guitars, four guitars, with chamber orchestra, and many other combinations. Canon in D wa also recorded by thousands of electric guitarists, playing it in many different ways.
