Herman Li born on October 3, 1976 is best known as Grammy nominated guitarist for the metal band DragonForce. Herman was born in Hong Kong but now lives in London, England.
DragonForce hit the international scene in 2006 with release of the record ‘Inhuman Rampage" and hit single ‘Through the Fire and Flames’.
Over the past six years Li has become one of the most respected guitarists on the scene. He won 2005 and 2009 ‘Best Shredder’ award at the annual Metal Hammer Golden Gods. Won Guitar World’s 2007 Readers Poll for ‘Best New Talent’, ‘Best Metal’, ‘Best Riff’ and ‘Best Shredders’ and ‘Best Guitar Solo’ for ‘Through the Fire and Flames’.
Li has also played with other legends of guitar such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert.
Herman writes a monthly guitar column in UK’s Total Guitar magazine.
