Fabio Zanon

Born in Jundiaí, a city north of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Fábio Zanon is one of most prominent classical guitarists today. Zanon began studying guitar under the guidance of his father and Professor Antonio Guedes.
Later Fábio was studying with Edelton Gloeden and Henrique Pinto at the University of Sao Paulo (USP), and graduated in 1987.
From 1990, he continued his studies under the guidance of Michel Lewin at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he obtained his master's degree in music from the University of London
and participated in the series of master-classes of Julian Bream.

Fábio Zanon has won the 30th "Francisco Tárrega" contest and the 14th American Guitar Foundation Contest (GFA).
He is an inspirational teacher and gives masterclasses at many prestigious universities, conservatories and festivals in North America, Europe and Brazil.
In 1997 Fábio Zanon received the Prize Moinho Santista and received the title of Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in London where also it acts like visiting professor.
