Willie And the Hand Jive is a song by Johnny Otis, first time released in 1958 by Johnny Otis Show/ The song was covered by numerous artists, including Strangeloves, Cliff Richard, Kim Carnes, George Thorogood and The Grateful Dead. But only Eric Clapton's version peaked the Billboard Top 40, reaching #26 in 1974. Clapton included the song on his 1982 compilation album "Time Pieces: Best of Eric Clapton". It also appeared on his live DVD One Night Only Live.
