Written by Harold Arlen with lyrics by Johnny Mercer for for the Broadway musical St. Louis Woman in 1946, Come Rain Or Come Shine became popular standard recorded by a number of such great artists as Ray Charles, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and many more.
In 2000, Eric Clapron and B.B. King recorded it for their collaborative album Riding with the King.

B.B. King Undisputed king of the blues influenced many later electric blues guitarists and is ranked No. 6 on Rolling Stone magazine's 2011 list of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time. Probably the gratest blues song he performed ever was "The Thrill Is Gone", written by Roy Hawkins and Rick Darnell in 1951. B.B. was best known for playing variants of the Gibson ES-355. In 1980, Gibson Guitar Corporation launched the B.B. King Lucille model.
