The friendship between JJ Cale and Eric Clapton was special and inspirational. Two totally different personalities, both unselfishly, brilliant, creative, working together, without ego or pretense for mutual enjoyment and artistic achievement.
On March 15 Clapton and J.J. Cale met together on Ipayone Center stage in San Diego to play few songs during the "Doyle & Derek World Tour". Live album was released on 30 September 2016 through Reprise Records. A year before San Diego concert Clapton and Cale recorded collaboration album "The Road to Escondido" which was released on 7 November 2006.
"Who Am i Telling", a song by J.J. Cale was featured on album as track #13. It features Derek Trucks on slide guitar, same like on San Diego live recording.
