This nice piece was composed by Heitmeyer for one of his hundreds of students . He started teaching in Los Angeles in 1953 and never moved from that town any longer . The STONE'S SAMBA was composed in 1970.

Glad to these Heitmeyer arrangements you've recorded, great job. I went to Howard's studio down in Inglewood back in '95 to buy his arrangement for Morning Has Broken and Malaguena. I could not believe I was actually reading music.
