Kashmir is one of the most popular songs in rock history. Guitar riff played by Jimmy Page is considered by many as a riff of all time.
Written by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant with contributions from John Bonham in 1973 was first released on Led Zeppelin's sixth album Physical Graffiti, in 1975.
The original title was "Driving To Kashmir" and lyrics was wrtitten by Plant while driving through the Sahara Desert on the way to the National Festival of folklore in Morocco in 1973. Bassist and keyboard player John Paul Jones added the string and horn arrangements the following year.

Led Zeppelin played Kashmir in every live show from 1975 to their last concert in 1980. On 10 December, 2007 Led Zeppelin reunited performed it one more time at the Ahmet Ertegun Benefit Concert in London's O2 Arena. This was recorded and released on several home audio and video formats on 19 November 2012 including DVD and Blu-ray.
