Jazzy fingerstyle arrangement by Walter Rodrigues Jr of the popular song "Manhã de Carnaval" composed by Brazilian guitarist and composer, Luiz Bonfá with lyrics by Antônio Maria.
The song appeared in 1959 movie Orfeu Negro (Black Orpheus) directed by French director Marcel Camus, which also featured compositions by Antônio Carlos Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes.
The other popular song written by Bonfa from this movie was Samba de Orfeu.
"Manhã de Carnaval" is usually described as the "main" theme of the film. It appears in multiple scenes of the movie.
It was the first Bossa Nova song that became famous outside Brazil. The song also known as "Carnival", "Theme from Black Orpheus", or simply "Black Orpheus" became jazz standard regularly performed by jazz musicians and vocalists.
