Karmen Stendler - Variations by Alexandre Tansman

Variations on a theme by Scriabin composed by Polish-born French composer and virtuoso pianist Alexandre Tansman performed by Karmen Stendler, talented young Slovenian guitarist from Ljubljana.

Born in Łódź, Poland Alexandre Tansman was studying law and music in Warsaw before he moved to Paris when he was 23 and where he lived up to his death in 1986. Only for the period of II World War he spent in USA because of Holocaust threat.
Most of Tansman's music is composed in the French neoclassical style, with Polish accents based on Jewish heritage.
