Kal David (originally David Raskin), was an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter who died in 2022 at the age of 79. Kal was a former lead guitarist/vocalist with John Mayall. The early 1990s saw he formed Kal David and the Real Deal group. The group featured Kal and Bono on vocals, along with former Chaka Khan musical director Tony Patler on Hammond B-3 organ and drummer Alan Diaz. For next years David and Bono continued to tour and frequently played at B.B. King's Blues Club in Los Angeles.
