Originally Concierto de Aranjuez was wriiten in 1939 by the Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo for solo classical guitar and orchestra. Rodrigo did not play the guitar, he was nearly blind and played piano. The Concierto de Aranjuez remains the immortal final statement of the great traditions of Spanish romanticism.
