In August 1990 Jimmie Vaughan lost his younger brother Stevie,in helicopter crash. Sevie was incredible guitar player and a great musician, but first of all for Jimmie he was his little brother. For a long time Jimmie was not ready to talk about it.
In n 1994 Jimmie recorded acoustic blues song "Six Strings Down", a tribute to his brother, Stevie Ray Vaughan. The song also mentions several other deceased blues guitarists: Jimi Hendrix (as the "voodoo chile"), Albert Collins, Muddy Waters, and Lightnin' Hopkins."Heaven done called another blues stringer back home" sings Jimmie in refrain.
Almost 30 years after tragic death of great Stevie Ray Vaughan, his older brother sings tribute song once again.
