The Austin, Texas based Monte Montgomery is one of the most underrated acoustic guitarists. His playing technique is amazing. His fluid harmonics, percussive dynamics, and melodic sensibility are really impressive. Monte is rather focused on live performances, not sharing videos around and that possible he's not so recognized in the era of internet revolution. But this did not stop him from winning fourth consecutive title as best acoustic guitarist at the 2001 Austin Music Awards at the SXSW Festival.
