Born in Germany to Colombian mother and a Palestinian father, Amir John Haddad today is one of most respected Spanish flamenco guitarists. Amir first began learning the Arabic oud from his Palestinian father Rimon. Soon after Haddad started to play flamenco guitar and at the age of 12 only he gave his first public performance.
10 years later Amir moved to Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, home of flamenco music where he often performs in clubs around. In the meantime he has performed at numerous festivals including famous Festival de la Guitarra de Córdoba.Islands and the Murcia Tres Culturas Festival. In 1999 he won first prize for his original music composition at the National Choreography Competition for Spanish Dance and Flamenco. Since then as highly respected musician, Haddad performed worldwide and has played at such venues as the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the HotHouse jazz club in Chicago, Palau de la música and Teatro Tivoli in Barcelona
