Ulrik Neumann (1918 – 1994) was a Danish film actor and musician. He appeared in 19 films between 1940 and 1966. He was an accomplished guitar player and was a member of the trio Swe-Danes with the Swedish singer Alice Babs and the Danish jazz violinist Svend Asmussen. He was offered a position as the first classical guitar professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music but declined because he thought he wasn't good enough. This "Love Waltz" was composed for his daughter, Ulla.

Of course I've never heard about Ulrik Neumann, never seen any film with him. Interesting story. But there's one thing I've heard about. It's the name of Sven Asmussen. He was notable violinist. I remember him playing with great Stephane Grapelli.
"Love Waltz" sounds really beautiful, especially when performed by you, Mr Kindgren. It's very picturesque music, would be great as a soundtrack for some romantic film.

Dear Veojam,
Thank you so much for listening to me. Yes, Sven played with Stephane Grapelli. In my mind he is one of the finest jazz violinists in the world. And he is still alive! I think he is 100 years old now. I actually pass his house one a week going to town! Nice place!
This piece has never been used in a film but it should!
Kind regards,
Per-Olov

Sorry for off-topic about Sven Asmussen. Many years ago I used to listen a lot of jazz, read articles in jazz magazines, and I remember in DownBeat polls I could always find Asmussen among top jazz violinists beside such names as Jean-Luc Ponty, Grapelli, Lockwood, Urbaniak. I just checked, indeed Asmussen was born in 1916. He's 100 now! I'm glad to hear he's alive. Wish you same in 2056 smiley
