Buddy Guy, born July 30, 1936 is celebrating his 80 bithday! The legend of Chicago blues has influenced guitarists including Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, John Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Eric Clapton described him as "the best guitar player alive".
Buddy has won six Grammy Awards, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005, by Eric Clapton and B.B. King and was awarded the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors.
Currently Buddy is touring with another rock/blues guitar legend, 72 years old Jeff Beck.
