George Benson, iconic guitarist with universal respect, musician who redefined of the world of jazz, most notably by producing the genre’s first-ever platinum record "Breezin" in 1976.
Benson regulary returns to Montruex Jazz Festval since 1986. In 2015 he closed out the 49th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival, sharing the final evening at the Stravinski with Caro Emerald and a project that honors the legacy of Paco de Lucía on July 18th. I liked Benson in the past more. Pity he turned to pop more. He's extremely talented jazz guitarist, second after Wes Montgomery.
