John Scofield is present on jazz scene from mid-'70s when he recorded with Chet Baker and Gerry Mulligan. Later he also joined Billy Cobham group and replaced Pat Metheny in Gary Burton's quartet.
Since then he regularly appears on most of big jazz festivals playing with different bands and musicians.
He remains one of top names in jazz guitar history.

Scofield is one of very few jazz guitarists who playes same well progressive jazz or traditional jazz standards.
