From the recital of acclaimed flamenco guitarist Manolo Franco i Centre Cívic Parc Sandaru, Barcelona, April 19, 2012.
Born in Seville in 1960 Manolo first studied under his uncle Manolo Barón and Antonio de Osuna then continued his training in the Matilde Coral school. He has participated in several international festivals as a concert guitarist, such as those held in Cordova, Stockholm, Istanbul, Frieberg and Tokyo. He performed at the Flamenco Art Biennial in Seville. Currently he's teaching guitar at ATLA School (Paris).

Manolo Franco deserves more recognition. Why he remains relatively obscure is a mystery. Technical superb and musically superior to most rock and pop guitarists. This Solea is excellent - traditional and individual at the same time - real flamenco in my opinion. Thanks for the video.
