Johnathan started to learn guitar at the age of 8 and gained a Trinity College Performer's Diploma in 1983. From that time Johnathan has given huge number of solo recitals, played on radio and tv, taught guitar at different schools and universities.
As a composer he has written many pieces for guitar solo, music for flute and guitar and "Variations on a French Folk Tune" for guitar and string orchestra,
