Don wrote this beautiful song in 1971 as a tribute to Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh and reference to van Gogh's painting "The Starry Night".
The song is also known from Chet Atkins' fingerstyle guitar arrangement who played it tohether with McLean.

One of my beloved songs from many many years. Vocal in video is not great, but at least I can try to play it on guitar.
