Moraitio Chico (real name Manuel Moreno Junquera) was one of Spain’s most remarkable and respected flamenco guitarists. He was the regular accompanist for José Mercé, Diego Carrasco and other popular flamenco singers.
He left us too soon, died 2011 at the age 54 of cancer and emphysema.

To me, Moraito Chico was what Flamenco is all about. His energy and the sheer joy of his playing were amazing. I cannot understand how someone so alive has gone so soon.It is tragic that there will be no more recordings from him.
