Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused

guitar backing track

The root of famous Led Zeppelin's hit song is blues-rock song written and performed by Jake Holmes. Later it was covered by the Yardbirds with Jimmy Page, and finally inspired Led Zeppelin to record new song in 1968 at Olympic Studios, London, and included on Led Zeppelin's debut album Led Zeppelin (1969). Page didn't cretid it to Jake Holmes as he felt that he changed enough of the melody and added enough new lyrics. However Holmes finally filed a lawsuit in 2010, alleging copyright infringement. The the case was dismissed and "Dazed and Confused" was finally credited to Jimmy Page, Inspired By Jake Holmes.
Dazed and Confused was performed at most of Led Zeppelin's concerts. Sometimes they improvised on it for up to 40 minutes.

Artist info

Led Zeppelin Guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboard player John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham and the most frighteningly exciting hard rock singer Robert Plant redefined the parameters of rock and become the biggest-selling band on the planet. Led Zeppelin's first six albums – from Led Zeppelin to Physical Graffiti – remain by some distance the greatest hard rock records ever made. The death of Bonham in 1980 marked the end of the band as a touring force. Jimmy Page was dabbling with heroin, and John Bonham was an alcoholic.
When remaining members of Led Zeppelin agreed to re-umite for a one-off show in London's O2 in 2007 (with Bonham's son Jason on drums) there were 20 million applications for 20,000 tickets.
