Composed by jazz trumpet player Kenny Dorham, Blue Bossa is one of the most popular jazz standards. 75% of the tune is in the key of C minor. Blue Bossa is based on mix of Brazilian Bossa Nova + Samba influenced by Cuban different styles, such as salsa, mambo, rumba, songo, etc. Brazilian music is generally a little more downbeat oriented, whereas Cuban music is a little more syncopated, particularly in the bass and drums.
