Born In Freiburg, Germany Amir John Haddad was taught by his father Rimon Haddad the art of playing oud when he was just seven years old. At the same time he started to study the flamenco guitar with Gerhard Schuler and further on with renowned guitar maestros like Pepe Justicia en Jerez and Enrique de Melchor in Cordoba.

Amir has his own Flamenco Band called Almeraya where he combines pure Flamenco with Oriental elements adding Arabic oud or Greek bouzouki to his compositions.



Amir applies his musical and cultural heritage in order to achieve a new sound whether it’s Flamenco, Rock, Oriental, Fusion or any other type of music he tries to approach, he does it without loosing the strong character and emotional sense of each music style.
