Born in Cartagena, Spain Paola Requena completed her studies in the “Ecole Normale of Music” in Paris and at the “Oscar Esplá” Conservatory in Alicante. Soon after she took masterclasses from such renowned guitarists as José Tomás, David Russell, Roberto Aussel, Jose Miguel Moreno and Ricardo Gallén.
She has been awarded many prizes at both, national and international guitar competitions. She has performed as a soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of Valencia, Orchestre de Chambre de Wallonie (Belgium), Symphonic Orchestra of Alicante.
Invited by the Spanish Embassy in Austria she gave two recitals in Vienna for the President of Austria and for the ambassadors of Spain for the Spanish EU Presidency Inauguration.
Recently she has been awarded by the Spanish National Youth Institute and consequently, she has performed at the Music Festival in Segovia.
