Mick Goodrick
Mick Goodrick (oorr in Sharon, Pennsylvania, June 9, 1945) is an American post bop jazz guitarist and professor at New England Conservatory and at Berklee College of Music, which he graduated himself as well.
Mick has started to play guitar because of Elvis Presley when he was 11 years old. Later he was inspired to jazz attending Stan Kenton summer camps.
Mick is best known for his collaboration with vibraphonist Gary Burton's band from 1973 to 1976, where he was playing alongside guitarist Pat Metheny.
For over 40 years Mick Goodrick also played and recorded with other world famous jazz musicians like Pat Metheny, Charlie Haden, John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Paul Motian, Dewey Redman, John Abercrombie, Dave Liebman, Joe Diorio and Steve Swallow, to name a few.
