One of the most commercially successful music groups of all time was formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. In 1973 Queen signed their first recording contract for EMI. 1975 album " A Night At The Opera" featured Bohemian Rhapsody song, one of the greatest singles of all time, staying at No. 1 in the UK chart for nine weeks. Album "A Day At The Races," released a year later was another huge success, and singles We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions became legends. The single Radio Ga Ga from 1984 album The Works became a worldwide hit, reaching No. 1 in 19 countries. Another huge hit was I Want To Break Free, featuring one of their most famous videos. Estimates of Queen's record sales range from 170 million to 300 million records. Queen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.
