Pop Superstar, Prince was born Prince Rogers Nelson in 1958 to jazz performers parents. He wrote his first song Funk Machine aged seven only. At his 20s he released jis first studio album For You (1978) and continued to put out an album almost every year afterwards. During his extensive career he has recorded several chart-topping singles including Purple Rain and Kiss. Tthe rock musical film Purple Rain (1984) became a cult classic. His songs songs remade by other artists became highly successful and this includes Chaka Khan's "I Feel For You", Sinead O'Connor's biggest his "Nothing Compares 2 U" or "Kiss" remake by Tom Jones. Prince won seven Grammy Awards, seven Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, Academy Award for "Purple Rain". He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
