Pearl Jam was one of the most popular bands of the grunge music era in the early 1990s. Pearl Jam's first three albums were huge success, commercially and critically. The band were the first to release high quality live recordings of each concert on the tour. Tragic accident that happened at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, where fans were crushed and nine people died, stopped Pearl Jam from playing when they realized what was happening. Almost thirty years after debut, Pearl Jam are still one of the most reliably explosive, truly modern rock bands in the world. The band had sold more than 85 million albums worldwide. Pearl Jam was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 7, 2017.
