Edin Solis
Born in Zarcero, in the province of Alajuela, Costa Rica, on November 22, 1963 Edin Solis is one of most respected Latin America classical guitarist and composers.
He studied guitar and music at the University of Costa Rica and after winning The National Guitar Contest in Costa Rica in 1991 he continued his guitar education in Spain and France.
Same year he founded group EDITUS with the violinist Ricardo Ramirez and spreaded the music of Costa Rican to over 30 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Edin has been awarded Two Grammy Awards for Best Producer and Engineer of the album Mundo with Ruben Blades in 2002 and 2003. He also achieved Best Costa Rica Arranger award in the year 2000 and as the Best Composer of Classical Music of 2007.
As a guitarist Soli­s performed in most famous venues such as as New York's Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Olimpia in Paris, the Montreux Festival in Switzerland. He performed with Ruben Blades, Armando Manzanero, Leon Gieco, Aterciopelados, Danilo Perez, Luis Fonsi, Jorge Strunz, Soraya and Luba Mason among many others.

His guitar compositions Danza, Pasaje Abierto, 18 Arreglos and recently Tambito Josefino has been widely populrized by internationally acclaimed, Latin Grammy-nominated classical guitarist Berta Rojas.
