Alex Blanco guitarist

On 11th of December Veojam's dear member and contributor, Spanish solo jazz guitarist, guitar teacher, arranger and music producer from Barcelona, ALEX BLANCO has passed away.

With more than 30 years of experience as a teacher of various musical subjects in public and private centers, Alex was titled guitar teacher by the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona. In the past he regularly preformed in Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Russia, USA, Mexico, El Salvador and Guatemala among others.
Alex has been a professor of Improvisation in the Postgraduate Master in Music Therapy at the Faculty Blanquerna, Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona and has taught courses at the Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona, the Institut Joan Llongueres and Elisava, among others.
He has also been head of studies and Director of the Municipal School of Music d'Esplugues del Llobregat and head of studies of the school Tot Music in Caldes de Montbui.

Alex Blanco guitarist dies

In recent years ALEX BLANCO suffered a heart crisis three times. This changed his life and Alex felt need to recover his first love for music and specifically for the guitar. He started buying guitars and amps compulsively and started studying and playing guitar again.
Alex has developed a musical and personal project called "Guitarra Sola" where he has combined his classical and concert training with his vocation for jazz repertoire. He has produced 3 CDs, a book with the scores of the repertoire, more than 50 video clips which most he uploaded to Veojam.com website.

Alex was one of favorite artists on Veojam.com website, which is focused on presenting quality only guitar recordings, especially in classical, blues and and JAZZ genre.
We will miss his tender, tasteful music a lot!
