Founded in 1990 Austin Classical Guitar Society is one of the leading guitar education and performance in the world. Dr. Matthew Hinsley, an Executive Director for Austin Classical Guitar Society has developed a range of programming that includes: International Concert & Summer Chamber Series; 3 annual Community Concert Series that have played to over 20,000, with guest artists performing 10, free concerts. Under Dr. Matthew Hinsley ACG has grown rapidly from serving 20 students in 1 school to serving more than 2,000 students in 40 schools
ACG also serve over 500 students in 9 schools on a daily basis with classroom instruction and an individual lesson component for low-income students.
