Eric Bibb nominated
Acoustic blues singer-songwriter Eric Bibb has been nominated for the 37th annual Blues Music Awards in "Acoustic Artist" and "Acoustic Album" of the year categories by The Blues Foundation. Award winners will be presented at the Cook Convention Center in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, on Thursday, May 5, 2016.
Blues Music Awards ceremony is the premier event for blues professionals, musicians, and fans from all over the world.

The album that Eric was nominated for is ‘Blues People’, released on Stony Plain Records, November 4, 2014. Produced by Glen Scott, ‘Blues People’ includes guest performances by Taj Mahal, Guy Davis, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Popa Chubby and a number of other musicians from around the world.

Multiple Blues Music Awards and Grammy nominated blues musician, Eric Bibb was raised in New York in musical family. His father is noted folk singer Leon Bibb and his uncle was jazz pianist John Lewis, founding member of the Modern Jazz Quartet. Other music icons such as Peter Seeger, Odetta and Bob Dylan were regular guests in the Bibb's house.
In 1970, Eric Bibb left New York City for Paris and later moved to Europe and is now based in Helsinki, Finland.
During four-decade career, Bibb recorded 36 albums, was featured in countless radio and television shows and is non-stop touring extensively in the U.S., Europe and overseas.
