This is from legendary Jazz Prisma concert aired on Belgian TV from Universal Studio, April 2,1965.
In 1965 American jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery decided for the only one tour in Europe . Montgomery hated flying so he toured Europe only once. He played in London, Madrid, Brussels, Lugano, Sanremo, Rotterdam and Paris at Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
During his TV session in Belgium he played with Harold Mabern on piano, Arthur Harper on bass, and Jimmy Lovelace on drums.
Montgomery is defintely the most influential bebop guitarist of all time. It's hard to count how many guitarists he influenced, including such greats as George Benson, Pat Metheny. Pat Martino, Kenny Burrell, Stanley Jordan.
