One of the most iconic voices in soul and music history, Aretha Franklin passed away at the age of 76. She had been battling cancer and in the last two weeks, her health increasingly failed.
Franklin was nominated for Grammy award 44 time and won 18. She was the first female artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and was honored with the Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1994.
Aretha was still performing up through last November 2017. In 2015 she shodked audience with her impressive performance of Carol King theme Natural Woman at the 38th Annual Kennedy Center Honors Washington DC.
