In music "Perpetuum Mobile" has two distinct meanings: a pieces of music characterised by a continuous steady stream of notes, usually at a rapid tempo. Or, secondly, whole pieces which are to be played repeatedly, often in an indefinite number of times. This piece should have a flowing feel to it... and only played once... :-) This is also a good exercise for your left hand.
