Experience Hendrix concerts of great guitarists paying homage to the abiding genius of Jimi Hendrix dates 1995 when the Hendrix family's first full sponsored tribute concert "The Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Festival" at Bumbershoot, September 1-4. Since the Bumbershoot event, one additional Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Festival took place in 1998, but most recently, we had two all-star tribute concert tours under the expanded banner of the Experience Hendrix Tour, in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco, plus an expanded tour in 2007 featuring 7 individual concerts in Washington, DC and New York City among others.
