Unity Village by Pat Metheny is not new composition as many of you may think. It appeared on several Pat's albums since 1975.
It came to more attention when recorded on Pat's album "The Orchestrion Project in 2010".
The architecture of “Unity Village” is fairly simple, split between two guitars: one playing the changes (and later comping) and the other playing variations on the head.
The piece is also a part of the legendary “Real Book,” compilations of lead sheets for jazz tunes and is appearing as “Exercise #6.”
