Asturias, also known as Leyenda was originally written by Spanish composer Isaac Albeniz (1860 – 1909) for the piano as the prelude of a three-movement set entitled Chants d'Espagne.
After composer's death it was given the name "Asturias" (Leyenda) by German publisher Hofmeister, who included it in the 1911 "complete version" of the Suite Española.
Francisco Tárrega was the first who transribed it for classical guitar, however transcription by legendary guitarist Andrés Segovia remains most famous.
Sheet music you see in video was revised and fingered by Eythor Thorlaksson, classical guitarist, composer and arranger from Iceland.
