I heard Carlos Barbosa-Lima play "Melodia sentimental" by Heitor Villa-Lobos. One of the songs from the movie "Forest of the Amazon" (1958).
Originally written for voice & orchestra, Villa-Lobos adapted the song for voice & piano and Barbosa-Lima later made a solo classical guitar version. Absolutely brilliant!! I was so inspired that the same evening I composed this "Sentimento" (Feelings). I hope you like it.

I know there are so many great composers from South America, but I guess you must have some special sentiment for the music from this region (born in Bogota). Very nice piece.

Thank you. I was 4 when we moved to Sweden so I doubt it had any influence on my creativity now... But I sure love Latin music!
