Chineese origin (born in 1977, Beijing), currenlty UK-based, Xuefei Yang is one of the world's finest classical guitarists of our times. Xuefei started to play guitar at the age of seven. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music.
As the first guitarist from China ever she received an international scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London. In 2000 Xuefei moved to London to study under Michael Lewin, John Mills and Timothy Walker. From that time she has given numerous recitals and concerts in the United Kingdom, U.S., Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Finland, Australia, China, Japan and Singapore.
She played Rodrigo's "Fantasia para un Gentilhombre" with the BBC Concert Orchestra and "Concierto de Aranjuez" with the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra. Xuefei performed at 54 concerts for the "Night of the Proms Tour" in 2003/2004.
