Trace Bundy (born 1977 in Austin, Minnesota) is American instrumental acoustic guitar player, best known for his legato and finger tapping skills. He’d been playing guitar more or less as a hobby since he was 12-years-old. Before Bundy switched to musical career he was young engineering professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
He stopped using a pick when he realized he could play more complex music using all five fingers.
The Boulder guitarist soon lived up to "The Acoustic Ninja" title by winning two awards from “Acoustic Guitar Magazine.” Bundy placed first for “Most Promising New Talent of the Year” and won third prize for “Best Fingerstyle Guitarist of the Year.”
Over the past couple of years, Trace has shared the stage with Neko Case, Brandi Carlile, Judy Collins, David Knopfler (Dire Straits), Chris Hillman (The Byrds), and Stanley Jordan, among others.
